Supplying artwork Guidelines
File Submission Guidelines for Best Print Results
To ensure your files print at the highest quality and without delays, please follow these requirements:
- File Format
- Supply artwork as high-resolution PDF or vector files (e.g., AI, EPS, SVG).
- Vector files are ideal for logos, text-heavy designs, or graphics that need to be scaled without losing quality.
Image Resolution
All raster images should be a minimum of 150 dpi at final print size.
Colour Format
Full-colour images must be supplied in CMYK format for accurate print reproduction.
Example: A photograph should be converted from RGB to CMYK before submission.
Single-colour prints should be set as either:
- The correct Pantone colour (include the Pantone reference in the file name, e.g., “Logo_Pantone186C.pdf”)
- 100% black only for pure black designs.
Sizing
If the supplied image is not at the intended print size, clearly note the required dimensions in the file name.
Example: “logo size 50mm width.pdf”
Bleed and Crop Marks
Where possible, “step” the image (position multiple copies as they should appear on the print sheet).
Include 3mm bleed on all sides with crop marks to ensure clean trimming.
Example: A sheet with a finished size of 210x297mm should be supplied as 216mm × 303mm with crop marks.
Additional Costs
Files that do not meet these specifications may require adjustment by our team, which can result in extra charges and possible delays.
